IT is TIME to be.. 🥺Vulnerable😨😳

Funny quotes will be at the end for those that last that long Kathy is awesome! We always have a really good discussion with her and this past Sunday was no different. She seems to really be getting a lot out of each verse of the Book of Mormon, and it makes us feel good to see that. She reacted really well to the invitation, and said that even though she already does try to repent on a daily basis, she's going to make a special effort to do so this week as part of a self inventory to make goals for the year. On Christmas eve we were able to visit one family for dinner and the Pollards were the first to invite us! The lasagna was to die for and the company as well. Their son had recently gotten a job from one of our investigators, and it seems as though they're becoming really good friends. During the lesson, it was very special and we felt every word despite that we didn't go into anything deep, but just shared a modern parable from Gordon B. Hinkley about the sacrifice Je...

Breaking Out Of Quarantine

Image
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share about a couple things that have happened this past week! We're out of quarantine about 4 days early because we haven't had symptoms so that's nice. (The mission Doctor approved it. Don't worry🤪) David Danon came to the virtual Sacred Grove tour that we set up with the site missionaries in New York! It was awesome! It was so interesting to see all the different hiding places that Joseph Smith had to resort to in order to hide the plates. While we were in the literal Sacred Grove part of the tour, there was a feeling of quiet and peace. It was nice and it felt like we had entered a different reality of some kind.  Called Sister Pace for a sec while she was at the grocery store and she was just gonna have us do an appointment, but then she got distracted talking and we talked for over an hour about the gospel it was so nice. Even though she didn't accept the baptismal invitation that the previous Elders had invited her on, she talk...

I wish we got covid every day

Three highlights and a bonus highlight if you make it to the end We received a referral of a recent convert (David Danon) that moved in with his nonmember family due to covid. We had a zoom call tonight getting to know him and he is really cool. He's only 26, but he's been working as a 3d designer for jewelry and sculptures. He's loved meeting with the missionaries to talk about scripture and he has a bunch of amazing stories. Like one of his neighbors makes replicas of people and sells them for a lot of money. It's a weird way to get into the middle class, but it works. Also an amazing thing that happened this week is we got covid! Dr Davis told us to go to this urgent care to get tested and the line was so long and we had to wait two hours. While we were in the line, we talked with the person behind us for pretty much the whole time. She's Jewish and she was like ya'll are tooyoung to be Elders. Elder Massey was like ya he's actually 76 ahhaha. We shared a...
