A peacock? Where?

I got a new companion and he's a legend when it comes to playing pickleball. His name?... Elder Dalton. Even the name makes him sound like a legend. He's told me that he used to play against 2 people at a time! Being companions with this pickleball legend is my new claim to fame💪😎🤯🤯. We sang Count Your Many Blessings while I played the ukulele to many of the people we contacted this week over the phone. Made friends and made many a person's day with people that would typically be frighteningly lukewarm with us. Music softens people's hearts. One of the families in the ward was feeling pretty down on themselves because they’ve been trying hard to share the gospel with their friends and family, but they haven’t seen very much success. This became one of my favorite parts of the week because we were able to provide encouragement and remind them that their efforts are valuable and if they’re just being loving, then they are good missionaries for Jesus. They are very lov...

Goin' to Indiana

Highlight is at the end! Clickbait is in the begginnning My companion is getting reassigned over to Indiana to finish serving there! Everyone is like wha? and I'm like 😭. Elder Massey is a good comp and as an English major, he helped proofread my letters to make them be more eloquent. Be warned if you start to see the quality plummet. Now we can ALL miss Elder Massey for a variety of reasons. I've been with my district leader Elder Peterson and his companion Elder Thompson for the past couple days and it has been rockin. While planning the lesson for one of the people they're teaching we got the feeling we should just see how she's been doing instead of having a focus on a lesson. It turns out that she's been giving out private information to a guy in India, and she didn't realize that he wasn't legit until she talked with us about it. The guy had her social security number and banking info among other things. Yikes! I hope that she'll be able to stay ...

Reee or yay!

Had an amazing week! I hope you all enjoy the letter. It contains:  A miracle that happened.  Also, an excerpt of something I've been trying to learn about grace,  so I think you'll enjoy having an inside peek on what's been going on in my mind. We met someone amazing this week! Her name is Jimena and she told us that for her new years resolutions she wants to be baptized and eventually go on a mission like us! I am soooo excited for her! To hit two birds with one stone, we're having her teach a part of the lesson the next time we meet with her. It is going to be so fun I've  been doing some thinking about some things that I want to do better this year. I feel that I need to rely on my Savior. I'm the kind of person that thinks again and again that if I just work harder or do better I'll get what I deserve!.. haha. The only problem with that is that there is nothing we can do to buy the miracles that God wants to give us. Try imagining this: Us trying to p...
