I am safe

It seems as though the audience has become a little larger over the past couple of weeks (that was a fat joke and if you don't know whhhy, then eat at the MTC for 6 weeks). Lol but in all actuality I just typed in a TON of emails so plz lmk if I missed anyone. SOMEONE forgot to bring their journal with them so that I could reference it while I wrote this, so the names and dates may be a lil hazy (That someone is me ) As per usual, at the end there will be favorite conversations section. Sunday (Father's day) - This was travel day. The MTC had decided that I had been TOO obedient and they wanted me to break at least one of the lord commandments of keeping the sabbath holy before I left. - We met this super nice guy that guided us two fools through both the Salt Lake and Georgia airports and bought us food. He was basically our Dad for a day - We arrived in the Lima airport just before 1, and got to the mission home shortly thereafter. However we got in only after 2 h...

Last mass e-mail from Provo

Wow I can't believe that I have found the L E G E N D A R Y Last Preparation Day in the Missionary Training Center at the MTC 😎 Hello everybody and welcome to my channel. Today I'm going to be going through some of the things that happened this past week. Also this looks like this will be the last mass-update I'll be sending while I'm in the missionary training center, so strap in. (I'll be emailing you all from Peru DON'T WORRY it's just click-bait) As always, there'll be a Favorite Conversations section at the end Saturday 6/8/19 - I wouldn't normally talk again about a previous preparation day, but this day was too good and I haven't told about it yet - I had already ripped two pairs of pants so I had sent them to the tailor. Sat was pickup, and when I did so, they told me that it was for free cus I was so nice. Wasn't even trying to. Wholesome - I was able to have the opportunity to do sealings in the temple for the first time u...

The MTC is on fire

The MTC is literally on fire rn like with physical flames and everything but more on that later Fast Sunday 6/2/19 Elder Gutke took 4 naps this day and he was still exhausted by the end of the day. Wholesome Tuesday section: The speaker on Tuesday was Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife. They are so fantastic and full of love. He left us with a promise that, "you can do this. One person, one smile, one day at a time." So many people forget that that's all that is expected of us. We should stop comparing ourselves to our potential selves unless it's used as inspiration for us to act better. Wallowing in what we perceive that we can't do is especially detrimental to us and makes it harder to achieve anything or to feel the spirit. My favorite quote from his wife was, "Oh no, you don't know HER." She was telling a story about how everyone in the office passed by this one grouchy-looking apple seller on the wa...

Week 4?

It is day 24 out here in Provo 6/1/19 Stay tuned for Favorite Conversations at the end Sunday 5/26/19 Today I was asked to be district leader? Ok. I'm gonna take this so serious. I even got this lil' baby notebook that I broke outta my storage to write down stuff I needa do. I have like three to do lists. Nice. Now I just need to remember that it's not appropriate to sing "I Need Thee Every Hour," to the tune of "Greased Lightning." Monday 5/27/19 I stayed up to help some of the other missionaries that I LOVE finish packing to leave the next day. We talked but I mostly listened. They needed to unpack and plus they gave me some good gems of knowledge. WHOLESOME TUESDAY STUFF: Tuesday devotional was generally about sacrifice to show what really matters to them. For example, you might choose to go to a piano recital of a family member instead of staying home and playing Mario Kart. I might go on a mission instead of continuing to work. When we do...
