A peacock? Where?
I got a new companion and he's a legend when it comes to playing pickleball. His name?... Elder Dalton. Even the name makes him sound like a legend. He's told me that he used to play against 2 people at a time! Being companions with this pickleball legend is my new claim to fame💪😎🤯🤯.
We sang Count Your Many Blessings while I played the ukulele to many of the people we contacted this week over the phone. Made friends and made many a person's day with people that would typically be frighteningly lukewarm with us. Music softens people's hearts.
One of the families in the ward was feeling pretty down on themselves because they’ve been trying hard to share the gospel with their friends and family, but they haven’t seen very much success. This became one of my favorite parts of the week because we were able to provide encouragement and remind them that their efforts are valuable and if they’re just being loving, then they are good missionaries for Jesus. They are very loving people, and it was so nice to tell them exactly how amazing they are for being like that. The most important conversion that matters is from unhappy to happy. That is in fact the whole reason for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and if we lose track of that reason, then we are losing track of the whole reason to share it.
I've attached a couple photos from my week, one of which is of a peacock that was just wandering around a suburban neighborhood. More below!
