Viernes

Highlight:

I expounded scripture in the night doing follow up to Dayana over the phone. It was amazing. We both felt a burning in our chests and we both knew that the Book of Mormon is true. 

John 3: 34 "For whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him." 

I read over this several times, but only after saying a prayer, I came to understand that God does not give a partial peace to those whom only keep some of his commandments or only wish to listen to some of the words of His disciples. Similarly, the Book of Mormon really is the word of God, and anyone that is denying it will be unable to have the spirit in any measure. (We both felt the spirit really strongly like a burning in our bosoms and she remarked about it.)

Ether 4: 10,11 (focused on the part that says) "he that believeth these things which I have spoken, him will I visit with the manifestations of my spirit."

I told her: "Dayana. I will add my words to those of Moroni and say that we will only be able to have manifestations of the spirit that are deeper than those which we have just witnessed after you have decided whether or not you believe in the Book of Mormon.¨

Usually I´ll feel it´s important to stay in the same urbanization for a while if our plans fall through, so that we can find some more people that we otherwise wouldn´t have had a chance to, but I kept being guided to keep going through with our plans. I thought it might have been because the next couple people needed us right then… Not really. We passed by a super friendly lady and then I felt to knock on a door just after. Despite that she was going out, the nice lady returned and said that this was her house. We got to know her, and she invited us in to teach her despite that she previously had been going out. After a couple minutes of talking, she told us openly that:

• she has seen many miracles in her life, and this has fortified her faith in God.
• she has received missionaries in Chile before, and even gone to church.
• she has prayed as Moroni exhorted, and she has received an answer that the Book of Mormon is true.
• the spirit told her to return when she passed by us.
