Sabado
Deborah moved back to Huaraz. I am devastated. She was so certain of the truth of this and it had wrought such a great change in her. Baptism was this close. It´s all in the timing of the Lord though.
We were walking and I felt to go a little back and to a certain door. We met Jonathan, Jaki, and Yotan. I immediately testified that God must love them a lot. They were sincerely interested and Jonathan explained that he had wanted to come to church in the past but had always been confused about which hour it started. During the course of the meeting he explained that he didn´t know how to receive personal revelation. I was able to explain about the quiet security that one feels in righteous actions, and that if we ask God if a course of action is right, we will feel peace - as I did when I came to their doorway. Jonathan and Jaki want to be married but are having trouble with the papers. We will help them. Jonathan looked at me in the eye and told me, Ï promise you that we will come to church tomorrow. I hope that he fulfills his promise, because I know that God will fulfill His.
He is called the God of the Covenant, because we are able to know Him personally by the promises He makes. We use faith on the words of a prophet when we come through on one of His promises. That sign confirms our faith and gradually we grow. God makes promises and covenants because He is powerful. If we make covenants with Him, it is not because we are powerful, but because we know God. This gives the implication that one who knows God will trust him and will be willing to do what is needed to come unto Him.
Be pure. Purity brings power. Not our own power, because we have none (we are like little Lego warriors. Do you think that a Lego guy feels powerful when he is put in a Lego vehicle, or given a Lego weapon? No, because Lego boy is nothing without the hands that put him and his Lego vehicle there), but rather the power of God. God will not be obligated or forced into giving His power. He will not be corrupted by the whims of man and the devil. If we would like to exercise the power of God, we must be like Him.
