I'm Visiting Bangladesh After My Mission

Got testimony? We've started putting together some videos of testimonies and spiritual experiences from the members in our ward. A lot of time, they'll even be willing and able to put it on their own account. Nice. We've already done three, but there are more to come, and I am excited to be doing more.

Note: I'm sorry for the delayed email, everyone!

Friday morning, one of my friends that I recently started sharing the gospel with called me without warning. He is Michael Saidul, and he is the most humble and faithful man you will ever meet. He is a Christian pastor in Bangladesh. The day previous, we had done a call with him and had told him about the Book of Mormon. He was wanting us to read with him so that he could understand it better since English is his second language and it is not translated to his native language yet. Nonetheless, he explained in no uncertain terms that he felt that he would be missing a huge opportunity if he didn't pursue this course. He has never met missionaries in person yet, but he told us that he wants to be a member of our church. At first we thought that there was none of the church yet in Bangladesh, but when we told him this, he told us that he was willing to travel to India in order to be baptized. We later got in touch with missionaries that will be able to help him to join the small church in Bangladesh.

Michael's faith-filled outreach has deeply touched my heart. Would I have the faith necessary to do the same? Would you? I know that his unwillingness to let fear creep into his heart will bless him in ways that I can't even realize.

Something that has been a great balm to my soul these days is the fine art of sticking things in the microwave. Ha! no, not really with the microwave. However, I have learned that I absolutely love to prepare meals. It's so calming to be doing something that you know will usually give you 'y' result when you put 'x' in to the function... so to speak. Especially when missionary work has so many more variables to consider. Making pizza is nice.

I would like you to add the following people to your prayer list:
- Michael Saidul
- Kyi Htut
- Ariana
