You're an angel
😉 Hello there, angels.

As we strive to recognize and know from whence our blessings come, we will come closer to Him who gives them.
Plus... It feels good to be appreciated.
(At a house we visited, the kids talking to amongst themselves)
"You're not part of this family! You're too smart - we're all stupid." (Head nods all around)
Lindsey had us over for Thanksgiving Dinner!!! It was so good! After we were done eating we sat by the fireplace and listened to Christmas music. I got special permission to visit him even though he's not in my area. Amazing! He's the best. His friend, Cody, was there and he's gonna share a short story he wrote with me and he wants to watch a devotional by Elder Bednar that I promised to share with him. It's all great. We listened to Cody's poetry, explained paintings, and warmed our toes by the fire. Oh, also we ate. Lindsey always tells me that he wants to take me drinking after the mission 😆. What a stinker. He knows I can't, but making cocktails is a passion and art for him, and we've become super close so he wants to share that. He makes nonalcoholic fruit juice cocktails that are super amazing
It feels so good to really be appreciated. Harriet told us how much she appreciated our first visit and how much she felt the spirit the last time. She was telling the member that we brought to the next one all about it, and I feel so good like we're actually making an impact. That was a good lesson. She's looking for a new church ;). Every once in awhile we'll call her in the morning to share a verse with her, and one time that I decided to leave it on her voice messages when she didn't answer. She called us back a day later to say that she had been going through a rough patch and that scripture was exactly what she needed and if I remember correctly she called us angels or something. Huh
I got my long sleeved white shirts back from the tailor… 😎 they lookin' cut. On an unrelated note, that was the first day that I've worn a short sleeved button up shirt in the mission
Considering all the things over my life, I have much to be grateful for. As I have strived to spend a portion of each day giving thanks to God for the amazing things like the aforementioned ones, I have felt closer to Him. I haven't had my typical worry for the future with me. I have more peace and it's easier to focus on the beautiful moments that are passing by. I have felt my faith increase as I have given thanks for the miracles in my life. Similarly, as I have showed thanks to others, I have come closer to them as well. When we recognize and remind people of the good they offer it 'confirms' them in that good thing. Much like the Holy Ghost does when we do something good. In that way, we are like a megaphone for the Holy Ghost when we recognize and compliment people on what good they offer. Being one with God can start now.
D&C 20: 10 "...and is confirmed to others by the ministering of angels, and is declared unto the world by them..." This verse is talking how the validity of something can be confirmed/proven to anyone. We can be those angels and help confirm people in any good thing. It might be as simple as, "Prayer is so good! Your prayers are heard." It might be, "Thanks for washing the pan I used. It made my day that much better." Or it might be, "You were so humble that one time you apologized to me. It can be really hard to do that, but it was worth it, and I'm grateful for it."
Our God just wants us to be happy, healthy, and together! Confirm one another in the good things they've done! Have a great day, and congrats on having a long enough attention span to read 'til the end.
